DARe (Darussalam Enterprise) held a briefing session on two of its recent initiatives namely the Standards Consultancy Programme and Co-Matching Scheme at the Design & Technology Building Workshop Auditorium in Kampong Anggerek Desa yesterday.
The Consultancy Programme is an assistance programme in which its participants will work closely with an experienced consultant who will train and guide companies towards achieving international certification including HACCP, ISO 22000 certification, GMP and ISO 9001 certification.
Participants of this programme will receive training and consultancy for the specific certification they are looking to attain and are expected to follow through by engaging an independent certification body for an audit within six months.
The Co-Matching Scheme on the other hand is a financing initiative for local micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and cooperatives to encourage growth through sharing the cost and responsibility of investment.
Businesses, under the scheme, will invest in 30 per cent of the total cost of a project, while DARe will finance 70 per cent of the total cost for maximum of BND20,000.

Set with the objective to increase awareness on DARe’s recent initiatives and to share how they can be beneficial for companies looking to grow their business, the briefing was attended by over 30 local businesses and presented by two executive officers from DARe.
The officers, Syazwana binti Wan Ali, briefed on Standards Consultancy Programme while Awangku Ahmad Najib bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Bahrom presented on Co-Matching Scheme.
