A private sanitation truck overturned in Brooklyn on Wednesday morning, injuring two people and crushing several cars in its path, according to authorities and photographs from the scene.
The truck, which belongs to Viking Sanitation, crashed around 3:45 a.m. in the area of Flushing and Nostrand avenues in Williamsburg, an FDNY spokesman said.
Photographs from the scene show the green truck lying on its left side, crushing or damaging at least four cars in its wake.
Two people were taken to Woodhull Hospital, though their conditions were not immediately known, the spokesman said.
A truck from the same private sanitation company was involved in a chain-reaction crash in Brooklyn in June 2018, when its drunk driver careened into several parked cars and a tree before coming to a stop on the front lawn of a Borough Park home.
Viking Sanitation could not immediately be reached for comment.
