JERUDONG Park Medical Centre (JPMC) hosted a two-day ‘Workplace Violence, Aggression and Harassment’ talk at the Lecture Theatre Hall of the Pantai Jerudong Specialist Centre (PJSC).
The guest of honour was Medical Director of JPMC Dr Meera Sahib Kabeer an anaesthesiologist at JPMC.
Chief Executive Officer of Gleneagles JPMC Dr Peter Tay and Hospital Administrator of PJSC Vivian Tie along with over 360 staff from JPMC, PJSC and Gleneagles JPMC were also present.
The aim of the talk is to increase awareness for staff members on the subjects of violence, aggression and harassment at the workplace. Briefings were given from representatives from the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF), including Crime Investigation Officer at the Brunei-Muara Police District DSP Mohd Hassanul Fikri bin Haji Abdullah, as well as Head of the Women and Child Abuse Unit DSP Hajah Mariyani binti Haji Abdul Wahab.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and a Doa Selamat, followed by a brief welcoming speech by the guest of honour, the session’s introduction and the talk by the RBPF representatives.
