MINISTRY of Religious Affairs (MoRA) yesterday continued its Subuh prayer programme held every Friday in all mosques, suraus and religious halls nationwide. The programme also includes the recitation of selected Surahs and Tadabbur Al-Quran activities.
In the Brunei-Muara District, the programme held at Omar Ali Saifuddien mosque in the capital was attended by Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman.
Also present were Permanent Secretary at the MoRA Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Yussof, directors, officers and staff of the MoRA.
The programme was also held at Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam Mosque in Kampong Jerudong attended by Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Religious) at the MoRA Haji Mohd Serudin bin Haji Timbang as well as officers and staff of the MoRA.
In Tutong District, the programme held at Kampong Penanjong Mosque was attended by a member of the Legislative Council Yang Berhormat Haji Abdul Wahab bin Apong, while in Belait District, Commanding Officer of the Fire and Rescue Department Operation ‘B’ Branch Senior Superintendent Muhd Shahreeni bin Haji Mohd Yussof attended the event at RPN Kampong Pandan Mosque.
In Temburong District, the programme was attended by Acting Officer-in-Charge of the Temburong Police District Deputy Superintendent of Police Pengiran Muhaimin bin Pengiran Haji Mustapha.
The objectives of the programme were to enliven mosques, suraus and religious halls in the country and to reap benefits of the holy month of Ramadhan.
