FOUR separate crime prevention patrols under the Neighbourhood Watch were carried out in the Temburong, Brunei-Muara and Belait districts recently.

No criminal or suspicious activities were uncovered during the patrols.

In the Temburong District, the patrol was carried out by four police officers led by Acting Officer-in-Charge of Bangar Police Station Probationary Inspector Iman Aqilah Fikriah binti Haji Shafiee along with five members of the STKRJ Kampong Rataie Neighbourhood Watch.

Acting Village Head of Kampong Rataie Haji Moslim bin Haji Salleh also participated in the patrol.

The patrol covered areas beginning from the STKRJ Kampong Rataie area to the mosque, government building and residential areas of Mukim Bokok.

Another patrol was also conducted at Bukit Sawat, Labi, led by Officer-in-Charge of the Labi Police Station Probationary Inspector Janatun Na’em bin Haji Abdul Rahim along with Acting Village Head of Kampong Bukit Sawat Muhammad bin Abdullah.

The operation focussed on the residential areas of the village, government buildings, reservoirs and water taxi landing areas.

In Sungai Liang, four police officers led by Officer-in-Charge of the Sungai Liang Police Station Assistant Superintendent Mohammad Amerol bin Haji Matussin together with six members of the Sungai Liang Neighbourhood Watch led by Acting Village Head of Kampong Sungai Liang Haji Mohd Ibrahim bin Datu Maharaja Setia Dian conducted a patrol in the village areas. Meanwhile, in the Brunei-Muara District, the Berakas Police Station and RPN Kampong Lambak Kanan Zone 1 Neighbourhood Watch conducted a patrol of the areas from Jalan 99 until Jalan 49, including the school and mosque areas, in Berakas.
