Permanent resident, Bangladeshi nabbed for gambling 1

THE Tutong Police Station of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) detained a female permanent resident, Ling Mee Chuo, 52, and Bangladeshi, Mohamad Sabuz, 35, at the Sing Hong Lee Enterprise Tool Store, in Kampong Telisai, Tutong, for allegedly being involved in four-digit lottery gambling.

During the ambush, the police seized cash and a number of material evidence including a mobile phone and pieces of paper containing four-digit lottery numbers.

Both suspects and evidence were brought to the Tutong Police Station for further investigation. The suspects will face charges under the Common Gaming Houses Act, Chapter 28 of the Criminal Penal Code.

The RBPF, while thanking the public for the tip-off, advised them to share any information of suspicious activities to the police or call the police emergency line at 993.
