State-owned railway company PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) is to launch a rebranded train called the Argo Cheribon on Aug. 16.
According to, the Argo Cheribon is a combination of three trains: the KA Argojati, Cirebon Ekspress and Tegal Bahari.

Following the rebranding, the train is to serve the Tegal-Cirebon-Gambir route.
PT KAI’s operational region (DAOP) III Cirebon public relations manager Kuswardoyo said that Argo Cheribon would be a single-service train comprising executive and economy classes.
He said the rebranding allowed the train to offer additional 840 seats per day.
PT KAI is to charge special prices of Rp 99,000 (US$6.94) for economy class tickets and Rp 150,000 for executive class tickets for the first day of the train operating under the new name.
The prices are only valid for the KA 61A, the second train that departs from Cirebon at 7:25 a.m. (jes/kes)
