The Russian prime minister has resigned just hours after President Vladimir Putin proposed sweeping changes to the constitution, according to reports from the country. The TASS news agency, which is owned by the Russian government, reported Wednesday morning that Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev submitted his resignation to Putin. The news agency said Putin thanked Medvedev for his work and added that the president will name Medvedev as deputy of the presidential Security Council. More to follow…
